The Hotel Griffy in Montpellier, in France, took six days a variety of very special tree. The artists Margaux Rodot, Benoit Tastet and Mickaël Martin introduced into the enclosure hundreds of balloons to imitate falling petals of cherry. They took over an inner courtyard of the building and made the intervention, which was part of Lively Architecture Festival .
A network at the top of the courtyard held the balloons in place, dropping slowly to create the feeling of detachment from a tree.
The balloons were white and various shades of pink, also giving shades of these colors in space.
The installation took place in 2015 and was part of a festival in which various interventions Montpellier were taken, although this particular managed to get a jury prize.
