The red carpet of the Met Gala is awaited by lovers of fashion from all over the planet, as their original theme always brings with designs controversial that they pass on to the story. And this year has certainly given a lot to talk about, because they chose a topic that already is shocking. The exhibition is titled Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination (celestial Bodies: the fashion and the catholic imagination).
The Catholic church gave its approval, and even provided some props and a changing church. The show features more than 100 garments historical of designers that were inspired by the catholic-style, among them Versace, John Galliano for Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, among others. The presenting officers of the night were Rihanna, Amal Clooney and Donatella Versace. Here we leave some of the outfits most impressive of the night.
