He was kidnapped by a pedophile at fourteen. Now anti-pornography has an important message

Elizabeth Smart was news in much of the US media and the world after she was abducted from her bedroom in the house of her parents in 2002. She was missing for 9 months and finally the police found in the hands of a pedophile and his wife . The type molested her repeatedly and is now in prison with a life sentence.

But Smart media again to give an important message. She, as part of a campaign by an NGO anti -pornography called  Fight the New Drug , revealed that his captor, Brian David Mitchell, a former preacher, regularly watched pornography what led him to do more harm: “led him to rape me more” , woman of 28 years in a video said. ” he sat and looked and looked, spoke only of these women and then when I finished I looked and said, ‘Now let’s do this . ‘”

Mitchell kidnapped Smart when she was in her pajamas on her bed in the city of Salt Lake City in 2002 and was only 14 years. Then he took a makeshift camp in the mountains where his wife, Wanda Eileen Barzee, awaited them. Mitchell raped her again and again over the next nine months. The family searched frantically until finally was recognized and rescued on a street in the city of Sandy, Utah in March 2003. 

Smart has become an activist for the safety of children has spoken publicly about the ordeal in which he lived. But now I wanted tosupport the New Drug Fight delving into the role played bypornography in what he called “the longest nine months of my life.”

“Watching porn was not enough for him. Having sex with his wife after seeing pornography was not enough for him. He always wanted more. Every time he thought had bottomed out , my captor was something new to make it worse . “

In one of the most shocking moments of his testimony, Smart counts as the kidnapper forced him to drink so much alcohol that ended up passing out. Then he woke up on the floor with vomit in your hair. “And I remember waking up at that time and think ‘how I can fall lower than this?'”.

A few days later he did. “My captor was very excited about something and said ‘Oh, you know, I have something to show and have to see it’, he says in the video. Then he reveals himself as the guy pulled a magazine full of very strong pornography.

“It only took him to rape me , more than it had already done – it was a lot. I can not say that he would not have come to kidnap me if I had not looked pornography. All I know is that pornography made my living hell much worse . “
