AcroYoga is a discipline created in the United States created by Jason Nemer and Jenny Sauer-Klein, 2003. The discipline combines acrobatic techniques, therapeutic aspects and yoga to enliven an activity that can not only be good for the body and mind also it can help in a relationship as is done in pairs.
Germán Barrera, a certified instructor Chilean AcroYoga told Harper’s Bazaar magazine that this sport is very complete and can bring many benefits. “I sensitizes much with the positions, with keeping the body line and geometry to not injure. Overall AcroYoga work is defined based on two practices: the “solar” which is very acrobatic dexterity and physical activity ; and the “Moon” thatis more therapeutic and seeks to bring one of the two air to massage and give relaxation. “
This practice can deliver psychological and spiritual benefits as decreasing fears or phobias and improve communication with the couple as noted AcroYoga.org site, web page that is responsible for creating events and classes in different parts of the world.
In the physical part it helps improve skills such as flexibility, agility, strength and endurance thanks to the constant work of muscles for the person being raised as to who holds or performs the function of base.
” It has functions and benefits associated with yoga, Thai massage and acrobatics ” added Barrera, who with his partner, also an instructor, have spread the sport in Chile since 2013.
